Pilot Logbook Pro and UWAS Giveaway Official Rules

By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final, subject to applicable law.

1. Sponsor and promotional partner

The sponsor and administrator of this promotion is Pilot Logbook Pro Inc. ("Sponsor"). The University of Waterloo Aviation Society ("UWAS") is a promotional partner. This promotion is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the University of Waterloo, except for the stated UWAS partnership.

2. Promotion period

The promotion begins on To be announced at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time and closes on To be announced at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (the "Promotion Period"). All entries must be received during the Promotion Period.

3. Eligibility

Open to currently enrolled University of Waterloo students who are legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, and immediate family or household members of the Sponsor, UWAS, and their affiliated companies are not eligible. The Sponsor may require reasonable proof of enrolment, age, identity, and residency.

4. Prize

One (1) winner will receive one free twelve-month Pilot Logbook Pro Elite subscription, with an approximate retail value of $83.88 CAD. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, has no cash value, and may not be substituted except at the Sponsor's discretion. The prize is subject to Pilot Logbook Pro's applicable account and service terms.

5. How to earn entries

During the Promotion Period, an eligible person may earn entries as follows: (a) like the giveaway post: 1 entry; (b) follow both @uw_aviation and @pilotlogbookpro: 5 entries; (c) share the giveaway post to an Instagram Story and tag @pilotlogbookpro: 15 entries; (d) leave one genuine comment stating a current aviation goal: 3 entries; and (e) tag up to five unique aviation friends in separate comments: 5 entries per unique friend, to a maximum of 25 entries. A maximum of 50 entries may be earned per person. Each tagged account must be unique and each comment must tag a different account. Actions must be completed by the entrant's own account and maintained until winner verification. Private accounts must provide reasonable proof of a qualifying Story share if requested.

6. Entry requirements

Entries must be complete, truthful, and made by the individual entrant. Automated, bulk, bot-generated, purchased, late, incomplete, misleading, or otherwise irregular entries are void. The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the promotion, uses multiple accounts to evade the limit, or violates Instagram's rules or applicable law.

7. Draw and winner notification

One potential winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries on or about To be announced in Ontario, Canada. Odds of being selected depend on the number of eligible entries received. The potential winner will be contacted by direct message from @pilotlogbookpro only and must respond within 48 hours. The Sponsor will never request payment, banking information, or credit-card information to claim the prize.

8. Skill-testing question and verification

Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance and must satisfy the eligibility and entry requirements. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not respond on time, fails the skill-testing question, or cannot verify eligibility, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate entrant may be selected.

9. Release and limitations of liability

By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless the Sponsor, UWAS, the University of Waterloo, Instagram, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from claims arising from or related to participation in the promotion or use of the prize, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded. The Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, lost or delayed transmissions, platform outages, unauthorized interference, or events beyond its reasonable control.

10. Changes or cancellation

The Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion or these rules where fraud, abuse, technical failure, legal requirements, or another circumstance beyond its reasonable control affects the integrity or operation of the promotion. Any change will be communicated through the official @pilotlogbookpro account or the official rules page.

11. Privacy and publicity

Personal information collected for this promotion will be used to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, contact the potential winner, deliver the prize, and comply with legal obligations. It will not be added to marketing lists without separate consent. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the Sponsor may announce the winner's first name and Instagram handle, subject to applicable law.

12. Instagram disclaimer

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram. By entering, each entrant releases Instagram from any and all responsibility related to this promotion.

13. Governing law

These rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute will be subject to the courts of Ontario, Canada.
